On Saturday, May 10th, 2025, the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham buzzed with energy as children’s activity providers from across the UK gathered for the Club Hub Event. This annual celebration honours the passion, innovation, and impact of those dedicated to enriching children’s lives through diverse children’s activities.
Honoring the Best in the Industry
The Club Hub Awards stand out as the only national awards in the children’s activity sector judged entirely on merit. This year, 75 exceptional finalists were shortlisted from over 340 entries, culminating in 15 deserving winners announced live on stage and on Grow Radio.
A significant highlight of the event was the introduction of Club Hub’s inaugural Top 100 Children’s Activity Providers list. This recognition celebrates outstanding businesses making a difference in their communities, evaluated based on five key areas: safeguarding, inclusivity, business growth, session delivery, and community engagement. The selection was meticulously carried out by a panel of expert judges, ensuring that each provider met the highest standards of excellence- and I was proud to be one of them working through the stiff competition of applications to review the business and marketing growth.
A Day of Learning, Networking, and Inspiration
The event offered more than just awards. Attendees participated in expert-led workshops covering vital topics such as Special Educational Needs (SEN), business growth, artificial intelligence (AI), and building successful partnerships. I was also honoured to host a marketing workshop sharing my Top Secrets for social media and marketing success.
There was also a particularly moving keynote speech by DanceSyndrome which underscored the power of inclusion and creativity in children’s activities.
